Fit for the future? The humanitarian challenges of today and the role of the Red Cross
In January 2022, the Danish Red Cross embarks on the implementation of its new International Strategy 2022-2025: Ready to Act. We wish to mark the beginning of the journey of these next four years by inviting for an online discussion to explore how the Danish Red Cross and the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement together with partners best can address some of the major humanitarian challenges facing people and communities in fragile contexts and humanitarian crises today.
Join us for this online session with the Secretary General of the International Red Cross Red Crescent Federation, Mr. Jagan Chapagain, offering his perspectives on the role of the Red Cross and Red Crescent in dialogue with the Danish Red Cross Secretary General, Mr. Anders Ladekarl and International Director, Mr. Peter Klansø and Head of Region for Africa, Ms. Nelima Lassen on the future role and relevance of the Red Cross – in Denmark and globally. The discussion is moderated by Adam Moe Fejerskov, Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS), based on questions from the audience as well.
